When will I get Windows 10 We’re validating Windows 10 for your PC: Reasons why you should wait for

In Windows 11, it is essential that you link your Microsoft account with the Windows 11 digital license on your device. Linking your Microsoft account with your digital license allows you to reactivate Windows using the Activation troubleshooter whenever you make a significant hardware change.

First, you'll need to find out if your Microsoft account (What is a Microsoft account?) is linked to your Windows 11 digital license. To find out, select the Start button, then select Settings > System and then select Activation . The activation status message will tell you if your account is linked.

Make sure that the edition, Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro, is the same before and after your hardware change. Your digital license and product key will reactivate only if the edition remains the same.

Sometimes your device just needs a refresh. When you restart your device, all background processes and services are ended. The restart also shuts down the core components of your device. Any service or component is refreshed when you restart your device.

Make sure your security verification method information is accurate, especially your phone numbers. If you put in the wrong phone number, all of your alerts will go to that incorrect number. Fortunately, that user won't be able to do anything with the alerts, but it also won't help you sign in to your account. To make sure your information is correct, see the instructions in the Manage your two-factor verification method settings article.

The increasing prevalence of cloud-based services, mobile computing, internet of things (IoT), and bring your own device (BYOD) in the workforce have changed the technology landscape for the modern enterprise. Security architectures that rely on network firewalls and virtual private networks (VPNs) to isolate and restrict access to corporate technology resources and services are no longer sufficient for a workforce that regularly requires access to applications and resources that exist beyond traditional corporate network boundaries. The shift to the internet as the network of choice and the continuously evolving threats led us to adopt a Zero Trust security model internally here at Microsoft. Our journey began a few years ago and will continue to evolve for years to come.

Each enterprise that adopts Zero Trust will need to determine what approach best suits their unique environment. This includes balancing risk profiles with access methods, defining the scope for the implementation of Zero Trust in their environments, and determining what specific verifications they want to require for users to gain access to their company resources. In all of this, encouraging the organization-wide embrace of Zero Trust is critical to success, no matter where you decide to begin your transition.

We recommend that all our partners continue to support the confidence of our shared customers in the new version of Windows by validating that apps are fully functional on Windows 11. The following are a set of guidelines for validation steps specific to the changes made in Windows 11. We will be updating this documentation over time.

Hi, I upgraded from win 7 pro to 10. My laptop worked fine for weeks, then refused to start windows one morning. I tried the repairs available (advanced options, etc). I then downloaded the ISO file for win 10, that contains all the win 10 versions, I retrieved the win 10 pro product key from my drive, but during the win 10 installation it says the the key is invalid. Can anyone advise me, please. Thank you.

A product riddled with problems. When an update of windows TEN is done, some of my progremmes simply disappear. On windows 8 I never had any problems whatsoever. The latest problem .I cannot link to my printer. Got an expert in at great cost,he managed the link but as soon as the computer is switched off, that`s it,no more link.My ONLY alternative now is to go back to windows 8 until your team sort out all the crap on the system.

question then say that i have 2 desktops and 3 hard drives all of them have windows and i take harddrive 3 and make it windows 10 from windows 7 on computer b and then go to computer a and launch the hardrive on it useing its windows 10 why does it now say windows 10 is not activated because that happened to my 1tb that is windows 10 home please help

I previously had a windows 7 home premium original copy which I did bought spending my money. It worked well. After win 10 launch I could successfully upgrade to windows 10 and the copy got activated automatically. There were talks around saying Microsoft is giving away free windows activation this time. So i made a USB copy of windows 10 PRO in to my flash drive and I DID A CLEAN INSTALL FROM THAT VERY COPY. Now I have Windows 10 PRO not activated. I cannot activate this using my windows 7 home premium product key. PLEASE HELP!

All things considered, when you get the 0xc00007b error, it generally means that some file in either the startup or activation process is corrupted. Not knowing exactly what your system configuration is, there is really no way to help you diagnose the problem. By this I mean the hardware configuration AND the software configuration.

Some product that was/is installed on your PC is corrupt for some reason. It might be as simple as the file is fine, but the version of that software will not work with Windows 10. That said, I listed a few things below which may or may not be helpful.

VMware provides this operational tutorial to help you with your VMware Workspace ONE environment. In this tutorial, you learn how to troubleshoot Windows Desktop features in a Workspace ONE UEM environment. Procedures include locating log files and registry keys, validating console settings, and using Fiddler as a troubleshooting tool.

When making edits to the configuration files you will need to have administrative rights on your text editor. Notepad++ will prompt you automatically to switch to Administrator Mode, however, if you are using Notepad you should launch this app with administrative permissions then open and edit the configuration files.

When using any of the command-line options or any other staging workflow, you must use a staging account to enroll first before the device gets reassigned. You can either use the built-in staging account that Workspace ONE UEM creates when you first navigate to Settings > Devices & Users > Windows > Windows Desktop > Staging & Provisioning, or you can create a new staging account. Ensure your staging account's staging options match the settings in the screenshot.

After a successful enrollment, you should have two certificates from Workspace ONE UEM. The Enrollment certificate is located in Certificates - (Local Computer) > Personal > Certificates and the Application certificate is located in Certificates - Current User > Personal > Certificates, as shown in the screenshots. Verify that these certificates are not present before enrolling or your enrollment will fail (delete all certificates then re-enroll). Previously, we confirmed that the Device Root Certificate was generated.

It is recommended to only use native OMA-DM enrollment when required. This is required due to some limitations with various operating systems not supporting x32/x64 apps. For more information on selecting the most appropriate onboarding method for your use case(s), refer to Selecting an Onboarding Workflow.

Again, when you click Sync, you will notice traffic in Fiddler. Return to the console, find your device and attempt several actions such as Lock, Query, or Query each category individually to see the differences. Fiddler can help to determine if the device can communicate with Workspace ONE UEM, check the contents of profiles being pushed, and return error codes that Workspace ONE UEM might not always display.

Troubleshooting policies, GPOs, and Workspace ONE Baselines can be a complex task. You will first want to understand how and in what order these policies are applied. You can find more details in Group Policy (GPO) & MDM Policy (CSPs) Processing & Precedence. You might also find it vital to confirm what policies are on the device. For quickly validating you can check Local Group Policy Editor on the managed device, but for more details refer to Validating Configured Policies. You can also leverage the Microsoft MDM Migration Analysis Tool (MMAT) to generate a report of which policies map to modern policies. This might be beneficial if you want to quickly run an assessment on your local domain-joined machine to get an idea of how many policies can be mapped to modern policies.

After a Workspace ONE Baseline is assigned/updated or a device completes enrollment, the Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub will download the Baseline from Workspace ONE. The Intelligent Hub will process the metadata and store this metadata under the following directory: %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Airwatch\AgentUI\Baseline. Before attempting to apply the Baseline, the Intelligent Hub will generate backups of the current policies on the device, which will be used for reverting the policies when the Baseline is removed. The Intelligent Hub along with other clients on the device process the metadata and apply all of the policies. Please note that although policies are applied, some policies require a device reboot to fully apply. Therefore, policy compliance is sent back to Workspace ONE after a device reboot. 2ff7e9595c
